How long is a realitypod? – between 2 – 3 mins.

How do I know what information to provide and my requirements to produce the video?
At our first meeting, it is important that we plan thoroughly to clarify the style, key messages and target audience. This is a creative process for us to understand your company’s visions, missions & values, in order to formulate effective and creative video requirements.

Do I need a presenter or a voice over?
This very much depends on the intended style of the production. Sometimes a voice over or a presenter can work well on company introductions and the transition between scenes can be integrated seamlessly to communicate the intended message.

What video file formats do we provide?
Flash & Quicktime.

How large will the video file be?
If the video is between 2-3mins then you should expect it to be between 15 – 50MB depending on a few factors including motion graphic work, Capture format and the quality of the encoding.


What video format do I need?
The most common players are Windows Media Player, Flash & QuickTime player. If you compress using Microsoft’s compression software then your viewers will need the Windows Media Player to view the videos and compress the files to (.wmv) ; if you want to use Flash compression software your viewers will need the Flash player (.swf) to view the video. We will provide you a quicktime file .mov so you can transcode to any format from our quicktime file.

How do I prepare the video file for upload?
Realitypod.tv will provide the video format for you to integrate with you site.


Why does it take so long to upload my videos?
Videos are large files, even after they have been compressed. The time it takes to upload your video will depend on your internet connection speed and the size of the video file.
Uploading videos takes longer than downloading videos as internet connections have much faster download speeds than upload speeds.

What is compression?
Compression is know as encoding. The process for preparing content for delivery on the internet. Compressed videos are decompressed when they reach the viewer using a ‘player’.
